Jayan Ramankutty,
Mr. Jayan is currently, Co-Founder & CEO of Krklabs.
Entrepreneur by heart, Jayan has founded four companies and
successfully exited three within the last twenty years. Most
recently, he was the CEO of YuMe Networks which he founded and
funded in 2003 after a year of ground level technical and market
research. He set the vision for the company right from its start
through the close of equity funding in 2006.
Jayan graduated with BE(Hons) Electronics from BITS
Pilani, India and MS in Computer Engineering from San Jose State
University, while working as a Senior Designer at Elxsi . He is
the founding President of BITSAA-Silicon Valley Inc (www.bitsaa-svc.org),
a 501(c)3 non-profit alumni organization where he is still very
active. He is also a TiE Silicon Valley Charter Member and
chairs the Media and Entertainment SIG.
Bill Sickler,
Mr. Sickler served as the CEO for Arcwave, Arzoon, Reactive
Network Solutions, Caspian Networks, Gadzoox Networks and
Network Computing. While at Arzoon, he refocused the company’s
strategic direction, restructured engineering operations and
completed a successful sale of the company to SSA Global. At
Caspian Networks he restructuring the executive, sales and
engineering teams and reduced the company's expense rate by 35%
while keeping product development and delivery on schedule. As a
result of these accomplishments, Caspian was able to
successfully raise $120 million in a fourth round of private
financing. During his tenure at Gadzoox Networks, Sickler led
the company to early leadership in the SAN market, culminating
in a successful IPO with valuation exceeding $1billion. At
Network Computing, Mr. Sickler tripled revenue while cutting
expenses, ultimately selling the company to Seagate. Prior to
this, Mr. Sickler spent 12 years at Ungermann-Bass where his
last position was chief operating officer. He started his career
as a consultant at Pittiglio, Rabin, Todd & McGrath where he
focused on solving operational problems for high technology
companies. Mr. Sickler holds an MBA in Finance from the
University of California, Berkeley and a BSE in Structural
Engineering from Princeton University.
